Wilkie Saylor - January 2, 1946 to August 22, 2009I lost a high school classmate, cousin and friend this weekend when he died suddenly at 63.
Wilkie and I were two of 27 classmates who granduated from tiny Red Bird High School in 1964. Wilkie was an excellent basketball player and a friend to everyone. After high school he went into the Army and served his country honorably and with pride in Veitnam. Wilkie was very patriotic and spent a lot of time later in life showing his respect and appreciation to our men and women in the service.
Wilkie, I salute you my friend. May you rest in peace.
